How Is a Dental Crown Used?
Dental crowns cup over and surround the existing tooth to create a restoration that functions like a natural tooth, allowing you to speak and eat normally. We also place crowns to protect a tooth after a root canal and to restore a dental implant. Placing Your New Crown
Having a dental crown placed starts with preparation of the tooth so that impressions can be taken. Next, our experienced team of professionals will help you choose the shade that matches your natural teeth perfectly. A temporary crown is made, and approximately two weeks later you will return to our Rego Park dental office to have the permanent crown placed.

Why Do I Need a Bridge?
Replacing a missing tooth is extremely important to your oral health. A missing tooth is unattractive and makes chewing and speaking difficult. Surrounding teeth will naturally drift into the empty space left by a missing tooth. This can cause your teeth to become misaligned and may eventually lead to problems like premature wear, teeth grinding, and even TMJ.
A dental bridge consists of a replacement tooth called a pontic that fills the empty space left by a missing tooth. The pontic is attached to a crown on either side, and the crowns are attached to adjacent teeth to support the replacement tooth.
